 Location
Located on the coast of Portugal in the Natural Park of the Southwest of Alentejo, close to Algarve, between agriculture fields and dunes covered with bushes. An endless succession of wonderful, some of which deserted beaches are bounded by a range of cliffs along the coast.
Outstanding conditions for sea fishing from the shore.
Food based on the best fresh sea-food in the world and a variety of regional wines served in restaurants with a simple and cozy atmosphere at a very reasonable cost.
Integrated in a rural landscape of pasturages entering the pine and cork of Serra de Monchique afford pleasant rides in surroundings of a magnificent beauty.
The house
Inspired by the traditional Alentejo architecture, inside the house we have others cultural influences, like a combination of strong Mexican colours, carpets that came directly from Morocco, hand paintings bought in the street market of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The result is a colourful and modern interior design, simple and comfortable at the same time.
Accommodation
Canto do Mar offers three independent bedrooms, each one with private toilet. The house is cleaned every day.
All rooms have access to a common area composed by a fully equipped kitchen and an open space suitable for meals, and also for relaxing times, with tv, stereo and fireplace.
During winter time, the whole house is heated by a central heating system.
From these rooms there is directly access to a large garden that grows around a swimming pool, witch is protected with a fence for children security.
The pool maintenance is made according to the most modern methods – hidrion system – in order to avoid any kind of eyes and skin irritation.
Canto do Mar also offers a tennis court.
