Lagos Facilities
Lagos is a thriving fishing port and market
center as well as a wonderful tourist destination. In this ancient port town
one can enjoy historical architecture and monuments, outdoor cafes, narrow cobblestone
shopping streets, a daily open market, a weekly flea market, excellent restaurants,
churches, golf courses, the old fishermans harbor, and wonderful beaches within
walking distance. Lagos offers many rental apartments within the old city, but

around Lagos and along the beaches towards Portimao or
Luz
and Burgau. Who loves to stay a little bit more quiet prefers the apartments
and resorts outside of Lagos and has both the fast connection to Lagos and the

Lagos Marina
Lagos has a lovely modern marina receiving boats
sailing in from the Atlantic.
Lagos Beaches
Meia Praia beach is just south of the Lagos-Marina and stretches
for 4 km of sandy beach. Just in front of the old quarter of Lagos are the beaches
of Batata, Estudantes, Homers, Pinhao, Dona Ana and Camilo. These are small
sandy coves nestled between rocky cliffs with calm turquoise water.
Just West of Lagos are the beaches of Canavial
and Porto de Mos, long sandy beaches between cliffs.
Lagos is connecting the beaches on the southcoast
with the beaches on the westcoast. Going westwards from Lagos one comes to Sagres
with its countless beaches and Capo de Vicente, the most western point Europs.
From Vila do Bispo its a 5 minutes drive to Carrapateira, with the unique Bordeira
Beach and the famous surf beach Amado.
Going from Lagos 15 minutes North ones reaches in Aljezur,
a little town connecting many other fantastic beaches as Amoreira, Arrifana
and Monte
Clerigo.
