Varzea da Goncala 2
Aljezur
Varzea da Goncala is a wonderful antique Portuguese farm which has been renovated into two separate tasteful holiday homes. The holiday guests can relax here far away from mass tourism in the middle of a natural,unspoilt region with hills and meadow land surrounded by Cork Oaks, Eucalyptus and Medronhio trees. The land is being actively nurtured to promote a native ecosystem and organic small-holding. Its peaceful ambience reflects this long term aim. This rare natural landscape is wonderful for romantic walks and bicycle tours, and still just a short drive (7km) from Aljezur and its nearby beaches which are great surf spots (there are several local surf schools), wonderful for the whole family to enjoy swimming and other beach activities, and of course the sunsets are stunning.
Situated in quiet nature, the whole house is run on solar electricity.
The terrasse is inviting for sun bathing, rest and comfortable evenings for barbecue dinners unter the stars. Children are welcome.
